After 20 years in the business,Meghan McDonald and husband,Scott were encouraged by their kids, Devin, MacKenna and Akeem to follow their dream and open their own Real Estate Brokerage.Meghan had started Property Management departments at other brokerages over the years and now it was time to do their own. With the love and help of her family, in a record setting 5 days the brokerage opened.Meghan and her Office Manager and daughter,MacKenna Perrin (Licensed Realtor), took their knowledge of the business, software and processes they had set up over the years and fine tuned them for their own company.Scott never showed anything but amazing support for Meghan and MacKenna.He then took his 27 years of construction experience and filled his role as Field Manager.
Scott's late father, Denny McDonald had always wished this dream for Meghan and Scott. He had told them many times to do this for themselves. When it came time to name the company it came to Meghan without hesitation. DKM REALTY, to honor her father in law, Denny, as those were his initials. One of the smartest men she had ever known. Someone who always was the supportive father she hadn't had since hers had passed away when she was very young. Someone she was always proud to call family.
